GIVE & TAKE 
             A Practical Guide to Mastering the Art of Giving and Receiving Feedback 

Description 


One of the most valuable skills of today’s new leader is to effectively provide and gracefully accept feedback. Far too often perceived as criticism, the feedback that we give or receive has an enormous potential to create value, to engage and motivate, or to invalidate, diminish and disintegrate the trust and self-confidence each brings in a work or personal relationship. 


GIVE&TAKE helps participants understand what feedback really is and how language, content, emotions and intentions are intrinsically linked in the process of both giving and receiving feedback. Structured in two parts, the workshop looks in detail at the mechanisms and techniques to give and receive feedback, and puts them in practice through participatory and co-creative exercises. Each section follows a logical linear flow from concept definitions to planning, execution and evaluation of the feedback process all the while allowing for discussions, practical interjections and debate.



At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand what feedback is and what is not, and the types of feedback suitable to different situations
  • Recognize the appropriate time when to give feedback, when it works and when it does not
  • Use the appropriate steps and communication techniques to facilitate feedback
  • Use a practical framework to evaluate the formal feedback process and follow up
  • Understand how they receive feedback, the degree of readiness, acceptance and openness
  • Translate the feedback into meaningful bits of information, devoid of emotional charge
  • Continuously seek feedback and give feedback, to direct reports, peers and managers
  • Sustain strong self-confidence and openness to facilitate feedback that is valuable for both giver and receiver


Duration and Format:


The GIVE&TAKE workshop uses a mix of participatory and creativity techniques to facilitate learning and integrate the material into concrete practical situations of giving and receiving feedback. The workshop can be delivered in two-hour interactive seminar format or a four-hour participatory format. The four-hour workshop can be delivered in two separate sessions of two hours each. An additional hour can be set in place for a coaching session that allows each participant to give and receive feed-back, and share how they felt through the experience.






LEADERSHIP for New Managers
            A Practical Guide to Exercising Leadership in an Authentic and Conscious Way


Description 


Leaders and managers. Are they different? How do we manage people whilst being inspiring, conscious leaders? What are the first steps of a new manager to ensure the success for themselves and their teams? Explore all relevant questions in a practical and interactive format. Participants will be able to identify and understand their leadership style, the role people play in groups and how to become and remain an inspiring leader and a good manager.


At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:


  • Distinguish between the roles of leader and manager and understand how they differ
  • Take active role in exercising their own leadership no matter the level
  • Manage complexity and change into the new management role with ease and confidence
  • Build self-confidence to develop and nurture authentic leadership skills
  • Apply tools and techniques as leaderand managers to better relate to the group and group dynamics
  • Better understand the role of intuition, irrational, conscious and subconscious mind in leadership and management roles
  • Communicate, listen and participate as a conscious leader
  • Contribute to well-being and efficiency in the workplace

Duration and Format

The Leadership at All Levels workshop is a two-hour interactive seminar that can be presented with an additional hour for group coaching and discussions. The content of this workshop is customized to fit the different professional profiles and levels.

                A Practical Guide to Making Fast and Quality Decisions

Why do leaders and teams fail? Most of the time, they make poor choices that lead to poor decisions. Making sound decisions is a skill set that is crucial for any organization and can be developed and strengthened like any other skill.  

This workshop is designed to uncover the power forces that influence any decision making process, the intrinsic and extrinsic factors that can improve it, and to provide effective techniques to make sound decisions faster.


 

At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Make improved decisions with clarity and focus
  • Use improved thinking patterns that will lead to better understanding of the issue/solutions
  • Apply useful questions to lead individual and team decision making
  • Understand recent discoveries about the brain and his role in decision making

  • Use quantitative and qualitative insight to inform their decision making process
